In short eight years since the adoption of the Downtown 2010 Sector Development Plan, Downtown Albuquerque has added 1,321 new housing units, over 3,000 new residents and increased expenditures in the Downtown trade area by $148,000,000.
The Downtown Action Team advocates for small business growth and lobbies for incentives for small and local business owners to thrive, grow and succeed. Ccontributions help the Albuquerque Downtown Action Team’s efforts to employ a Retail Recruiter & Economic Development Coordinator who helps retain Albuquerque’s current businesses through innovative promotions, point of sale advice, marketing and advertising. The Albuquerque Downtown Action Team helps local and regional business owners grow by carefully helping these small retailers strategically locate in the Downtown core.
